2021 Annual Event Recap

After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, the Hunter Houle Memorial Foundation held its fourth Annual banquet and fundraiser at ERX Motor Park in Elk River, Minnesota, on May 8th. The great weather welcomed people from all over the Midwest for a full day of fun.

More than 100 people came to experience the outstanding off-road trails from the seat of a Polaris RzR side-by-side. The approximately 8-mile lap included woods, rolling hills, berms, jumps and more. It was a big hit for everyone from kids to grandparents. As always, the folks at ERX had the thrills dialed up to 10.

As in previous years, it was the banquet program that delivered the widest range of emotion and energy. Old friends and new acquaintances greeted each other. There were handshakes and hugs, belly laughs and bench racing.

More than 140 silent auction items encircled the massive banquet room, each donated by generous companies and individuals willing to support the foundation and our mission to help people and communities in need by honoring Hunter and the passions that defined his short life.

Nearly 200 attendees enjoyed a delicious meal and we presented checks totaling $60,000 to organizations [Making A Difference] that do great work to help lift people.

A rousing combo of raffles and 13 live auctions concluded the evening, with wonderful participation, laughter, and humbling generosity filling the room. We continue to be utterly amazed at the gifts that people give, of their time and resources, and the joy that giving brings to this event. Thanks to the generosity of so many, this years banquet raised more than $80,000!

Since our first event in 2017 and through the gifts shared by others, the foundation has raised and shared more than $141,000. We struggle to find words to express our appreciation for everyone who has made this possible. You have kept Hunter’s spirit alive. Thank you!

We are looking forward to the 5th Annual banquet on May 21, 2022. We hope to see you there!
