The Avalanche Alliance’s mission is to raise avalanche awareness, facilitate training and improve backcountry safety for motorized users. They do this by supporting the implementation of beacon check stations, and through avalanche training educators. Avalanche Alliance is at the forefront of avalanche safety improvement. This year we’re donating $10,000 to the Avalanche Alliance in memory of Rob Kincaid. Just over a year ago, Rob Kincaid died as a result of an avalanche while snowmobiling in the Idaho backcountry. Rob was a friend of many. The HHMF wants to help prevent what happened to Rob and others who have died while snowmobiling in the back country.
